Another book that I borrowed often from our local library before I purchased my own copy. The boy in this book looks just like my grandson and he giggles everytime we read this book together at bedtime.

In Search of Value (Cambridge, MA)
This book quickly became one of my 18 month old son's favorites. He loves the pictures and I love the message. He points along at his facial features when we get to that part and loves that the bear is in every picture too. This is a wonderful book for toddlers.

we've been reading this book to our 4 months old daughter since she was just a few weeks old. the book has a very nice calming effect on her. we will read it to her whenever she gets fussy, and she will calm down right away. when we're driving and she gets fussy, we will recite the book and it clams her down. it's not a story book, just a series of sentences, so no problem if we mixed up the sequence. now we are buying a 2nd copy, just in case the 1st one gets a bit too tattered.

We received this book as a gift for our son, and it has been his bedtime story every night since.
I now buy a copy for most baby showers that I go to. It is really just a classic - wonderful sentiment, cute art with little things to discover, and a nice, calming, rhyming rhythm to the words.
I like that the book is a simple, universal sentiment of unconditional love while also not being too over the top mushy.
The board book version has held up very well to hundreds of read throughs.
