| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Trixie, Daddy, and Knuffle Bunny take a trip to the neighborhood Laundromat. But the exciting adventure takes a dramatic turn when Trixie realizes somebunny was left behind . . . This 2005 Caldecott Honor book uses a combination of muted black-and-white photographs and expressive illustrations and tells a brilliantly true-to-life tale about what happens when Daddys in charge and things go terribly, hilariously wrong.

Engaging and fun August 26, 2010 Ahhling (NY, NY) Honestly, the aesthetic of this book is not really my taste. BUT when I read this book animatedly, my daughter is completely hooked and waiting for the finale and when Knuffle Bunny is found, she is thrilled. I read it with a ton of drama and body movement which helps. It's a crowd pleaser and definitely speaks to the issues of parent/child communication and also represents that tender attachment and devotion that babies have towards some of their beloved 'friends'.
we've all been there August 2, 2010 Featherhead (USA) A perfect book to read with a child on your lap. Baby Trixie's favorite stuffed animal, Knuffle Bunny, goes along with her and her father to the laundromat. Trixie happily plays with various boxes and machines while Father puts the clothes in. On the way home, she realizes with horror that she no longer has Knuffle Bunny. The pre-verbal toddler does all she can to communicate this tragic situation: she screams, she flails, she goes "boneless," but her father does not understand. Back at home, Mother asks the all-important question: "Where is Knuffle Bunny?" Light dawns, and they all rush back to the laundromat. Knuffle Bunny is retrieved from where he had been accidentally put in with the wash, and a very relieved Baby Trixie says his name as her very first words.
Aww! Who could resist this charming book? The story validates the idea that a child's comfort object is important to everyone in the family, and should always be protected. For an unusual look to the illustrations, the author has superimposed his drawings on old photographs -- only the people (and Knuffle Bunny) are drawn in.
Great book! July 31, 2010 matty This book is as fun for the parents as it is for your baby. The illustrations are unique and interesting. My 5 month old laughs everytime we get to "snurp!" Thank you, Mo Willems!
Delightful! July 12, 2010 L. Perry (Tennessee) I adore kid's books, especially good ones. As powerful as text is, the image is even more so. A great kids' book without engaging illustrations looses much of its steam. That's never a fear here. I love both Knuffle Bunny books (there's a Knuffle Bunny, too) for both the story and the view. The illustration are engaging, original, and alive. There's also a level of friendly realism in these that will give adults a chuckle (perhaps at their own expense). I will add frequently buy books for my (precocious, sassy, sweet, creative, PERFECT, book-loving) niece. She was four when I bought these for her, and her dad commented that these are some of the books she's enjoyed the most.
