Rainy Day Fun at the Blue's Clues House October 28, 2007 George Buttner (Dayton, Ohio United States) "Blue's Best Rainy Day" features Blue and her friends over on a play date. It's raining outside, but that's not going to discourage Blue. She's come up with a great idea --- a scavenger hunt. This fun hunt sends Steve, us and all of her friends around the Blue's Clues house to look for various items. And there's a purpose to the items too, something that Blue wants to do with them once they're all done.
It's "Blue's Clues" with a twist, a search-and-find game. The same sort of energetic fun we love and expect from the show. This book introduces us to a room in the house I'm not sure we've ever seen before on the show, the "mudroom." There's also a Yellow Kitten in addition to Orange Kitten that I can't recall ever seeing before, or again.
This book is a Steve story, of course, and therefore is not based in any way on "The Scavenger Hunt" from the television show.
A new story August 28, 2007 Robbie's Mom (Charlottesville, VA) I wasn't sure my son would like this book because it doesn't feature a clue game. However, it is interactive, so he follows along and seems to enjoy it. Blue holds a scavenger hunt for her friends, and the reader plays along to help find the things on her list. I don't recall that this is based on an episode, so I think the story is new.
rainy days are everywhere February 12, 2007 N. Rosen (Toronto Canada) I bought this book because we were living in the caribbean where if we were stuck indoors, it was because of the rain, or hurricane season. I thought "ok, let's make this look like fun". In fact, it rains everywhere. The story is about a group of Blue's friends who have to stay indoors because of the weather (it could even be a snowstorm if you're in Alaska or Canada!)and find something to do as a fun activity. It's an entertaining book as you hunt for clues page by page until you piece together all the clues to find your answer. I like Blue's---good idea for children.
Gift for granddaughter. August 19, 2006 P. A. Colditz (PA) My graddaughter loves Blues Clues so I thought she would enjoy this book and she did, she has to have this book read to her everynight before she goes to bed.
Blue's Best Rainy Day August 17, 2006 Janice E. Perkosky (Somerset, NJ United States) My niece likes Blue's Best Rainy Day the best out of all the books she has.
